Honesty: Silence Is Not Always Golden

Class description

We discuss having a sense of humility, and the importance of honesty. Without honesty we are not able to recognize our sinfulness. Without being able to admit it then it almost becomes impossible for us to confess it. If we can not confess it how are we forgiven for it?

This lesson is a companion to the book Seeking Him: Experiencing the Joy of Personal Revival

Lesson Highlights

Speak Truth In Your Heart

If you can’t be honest with yourself who can you be honest with?

To stand in the presence of God you must be honest with yourself about the good and not so positive things in our lives.

Remove the Stress

Stress will press down on you with incredible weight.

Acknowledgment and confession of sin is a powerful stress reliever.

Always offer reconciliation

Restoring relations between others, asking for forgiveness, and granting forgiveness helps remove ones false sense of self-rightuoness.

There is no favoritism with God, he wants to remove all roadblocks between our relationship with him.

Self Examination Removes Seperation

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves.

Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?--unless indeed you are disqualified.
