10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. - Psalms 51:10

The Big Turn Around

Class description

As we continue our series on seeking God, we’ve brought ourselves to an in-depth discussion on repentance and making a “Big Turn Around” in your life. Repentance is one of those things we all know is much easier said than done, but it is absolutely necessary in order to renew your spirit and make room to receive God’s love, and cast out judgement.

This discussion is from lesson 4 in the companion book Seeking Him: Experiencing the Joy of Personal Revival

Seeking Him: Experiencing the Joy of Personal Revival
By Wolgemuth, Nancy DeMoss, Grissom, Tim

Lesson Highlights

Humility an Honesty are the Foundation

Before allowing your self to confess your wrong doing you first have to acknowledge that there was in fact something you did wrong.

Humility will allow you to do just that

Avoid Sin

It’s true sometimes we do things unknowingly or on accident, but other times we got just what we were looking for.

A heart & mind filled with compassion and calm will not carry out actions that yield conflict and confrontation.

Act on Your Conviction

Feeling guilty or bad about your actions is nice, but that is not repentance.

You must act on these personal convictions. Confess wrongs done with your mouth, and display change through your future actions

ACTIVELY MOVE FORWARD

Ezekiel 18:31-32

31 Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel?

32 For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies," says the Lord God. "Therefore turn and live!
